Taryn completed her Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to that she graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Degree in Health Sciences. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Taryn’s background in sports and active living contribute to her passion for the Physiotherapy profession. She completed 5 seasons as a CIS athlete, playing on the women’s varsity hockey team at both universities. Currently, she maintains her fitness by cycling, running and hiking with her family. Taryn believes strongly in manual therapy, a thorough understanding of anatomy, and exercise prescription specific to individuals in order to return patients to the activities they enjoy. Most importantly, Taryn focuses on communication and patient education in order to maximize results for patients through client centred care. She prides herself on fixing the problem by getting to the root of the cause, not just treating the symptoms. Taryn is also passionate about continuing her education in order to provide the best treatment possible and achieve maximum results. She is working towards her Advanced Diploma in Manual Therapy, is certified in Medical Acupuncture, Soft Tissue Release, Mulligan Techniques, the Integrated Systems Model, and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment. |
